Recently, on a day that I felt my hair was just totally frizzy, I received multiple compliments on how great my hair looked and the state of my curls. Couldn’t help but notice that most of the “compliments” are from non-naturals, but from what I can tell, they’re usually pretty genuine. I hate to admit it, but those spontaneous compliments often make my day.

I know I’m not the only one to receive these, so let’s hear who else has experienced this. Let us know, what has been your favorite compliment on your hair so far?

I notice that many curlies often go through phases of frustration with their natural hair at some time during the grow-out stage.

I know we've all been there... when your hair just doesn’t act right, your go-to product(s) stop working or you simply reach that awkward length. Then those evil thoughts start to creep into your head about reaching for the scissors.

We need to share our suggestions on how to combat the negativity you are feeling. How do you turn that negative into a positive to continue your journey?
Hey there natural curly cuties!! I am just thinking about the type of styles I want to rock for the rest of the summer. My hair loves breathing in this sunshine, but the great thing about the summertime is that there are tons of events to go to. Twist outs and braids work very well for me and where I want to be. So…..what styles do you plan on rocking for the rest of summer?

After hanging out with my best friend all day today, I noticed we have both been battling the same problem. Our hair is like the Sahara desert. Maybe that’s a little exaggerated, but our hair really is dry, parched, and just plain thirsty. Now my hair is dry mostly because of me being lazy and not taking care of it. And we all know what happens when hair is dry-split ends, shedding, and breakage.

So, is your hair dry too? If so, why, and what do you plan to do to quench your curls?!
